Pami Monnette | Grassroots Coordinator
Pami moved to Oregon in 2003 from a small ranching community in Northern California. Growing up she was always connected to nature through her parents; gardens and backpacking in the Marble Mountain wilderness, and working as a timber cruiser for the USFS. She has a B.S. in Geography and a Masters in Public Policy. After school, she worked for OSU Extension for ten years in the Master Gardener and Small Farms programs teaching horticulture, coordinating projects and developing research programs.
Working with farmers in Lincoln County inspired her to leave OSU and try her hand at farming. For four seasons, she grew cut flowers and operated an agritourism business. Life's priorities have shifted and she no longer farms but is now growing the floristry side of the business in Philomath. She is doing her part to create a market for local products and has always been passionate about food, farming and rural economies. Pami has worked for OFS since 2021 as a grassroots coordinator and is proud to advocate for the needs and perspective of folks who work in the farming, forestry and fishing industries.
