Resources (DOER) Act Approved
WASHINGTON
– The House Committee on
Resources today overwhelmingly
approved the bipartisan Deep
Ocean Energy Resources
(DOER) Act by a vote of
29 to 9. The DOER Act was
tailored by U.S. Representatives
John Peterson (R-Pa.), Neil
Abercrombie (D-Hawaii), Bobby
Jindal (R-La.), and Charlie
Melancon (D-La.), all members of
the Resources Committee.

status of stocks report shows

today released its annual report
to Congress on the status of
U.S. marine fisheries for 2005.
NOAA assesses the status of all
major stocks that are targeted
by commercial and recreational
fisheries, and represents the

available on the status of
marine fisheries in the United
