Terry Witt

As the executive director of OFS, I’d like to welcome you to our updated website.

If this were a building you might see a sign posted that says “CONSTRUCTION ZONE” or “PARDON OUR DUST WHILE WE REMODEL” as this site is indeed a work in progress. As such you will see it grow in content and resource links over time. While some may say you can’t teach old dogs new tricks, we will learn how to better communicate using all the new electronic and social media technologies available today. As always the staff at OFS welcomes your comments and suggestions on how we can better serve our natural resource businesses and in turn provide benefit to all Oregonians. Our farm and forest partners are the true stewards of the environment — professionals who use all available tools judiciously and lawfully to provide safe, high quality and affordable food and fiber products for Oregon and beyond.

Paulette Pyle

Paulette Pyle, Director of Grass Roots – “Everything in life begins and ends with politics.”

OFS was founded in 1980 by Oregon’s farmers and foresters to give them voice in environmental decisions being made by legislators and policy makers. I am proud to serve our hard-working, natural resources men and women — ensuring that OFS members understand how “their” state legislators, agency policy makers and the Governor are voting and making decisions that affect their families, businesses and communities. OFS members are astute, intelligent business owners who work hard to produce food and fiber while protecting and enhancing the environment in which they live and work.

Sandi Schukar

I’m Sandi Schukar, OFS’s office manager.

I’ve had the privilege of working with Terry and Paulette for the past 20 years! I take care of their scheduling, keep our database updated, handle the invoicing and financial transactions, and whatever else needs to be done to assist my co-workers. We’re excited about the new look of our website and newsletter. We welcome your input; please let us know if there is something specific you’d like to see here.
If you’d rather receive your emails from OFS at a different address, let me know. Please feel free to pass our communications on to your co-workers, family and friends.
